MyeDream (MyeDream Incubator) in partnership with the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) and University of Kurdistan-Hewler (UKH), officially kicked-off Global Entrepreneurship Week 2016 for Kurdistan and Iraq in Erbil on Sunday November 13th, and a month-long celebration of youth and entrepreneurship, joined by a special guest and Vice President of the Global Entrepreneurship Network, Buke Cuhadar, who oversees programming and networks in 165 countries.
The event featured keynote remarks of His Excellency Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mohamed Qadir Hawdiani, in addition to remarks by Ms. Buke Cuhadar, VP of GEN, welcome remarks by MyeDream Founder and President Mr. Rebeen Pasha and UKH Provost and Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Jamal Ameen. The kickoff had a panel discussion with young entrepreneurs from all over Kurdistan and Iraq about their experiences, challenges, and inspirations: Mashxal Sadiq, MyeDream championship winner, Hama Osman, Refugees Got Talen director, Sana Karwan, MyeDream co-organizer and Startup Weekend organizer, and Sarhang Ahmed, UKH student and entrepreneur. In attendance will be US Consulate, students, private sector, and community members.
The event started a month-long programming and events on entrepreneurship in Erbil and Kurdistan that MyeDream is championing and promoting to enable a more supportive and collaborative ecosystem and hope for youth, including 10 other events throughout Kurdistan and Iraq.

MyeDream (MyEntrepreneurialDream) is Iraqi Kurdistan’s first and only incubator, established June 2015 to enable youth Dreams, Dialogue, and Development, and launched in August 2016 with the MyeDream Erbil Bootcamp, featuring over 100 youth entrepreneurs, and 16 teams chosen for two-weeks intensive Bootcamp (August programs were in partnership with Rwanga Foundation and support from Rotana Hotels).
